What kind of books do Thryft accept?
We accept English titles of any categories (fiction, non-fiction, textbooks, photography books, etc) with ISBN-13. The books should meet the following minimum conditions: no water stains, no broken book spine, no torn or missing pages. Books with lightly yellowed pages are accepted.
Should your books not meet those conditions, we will recycle the books for you.

Where can I drop off my books?
We currently have 3 bookdrops - NUS Central Library, NUS Business Library (HSSML) and National Youth Council @ Toa Payoh HDB Hub. For more information, click here.
How is the trade-in value of my books determined?
The trade-in value of each book is determined using our unique algorithm based on current market prices, popularity of the book, as well as market saturation.
How does crediting work?
Users will receive the equivalent dollar value of their traded-in books in Thryft credits issued via a gift card, which is not exchangeable for cash. The credits can be spent on our Thryft platform for other books that they want instead.
Why are there books listed from other vendors? How does Thryft's partnership programme work?
We actively invite non-profit organisations to list their books with us at no cost. 100% of the profits of these books are donated back to these organisations. For our users, all checkout and book fulfilment processes remain the same and are processed at Thryft.
For purchases made using Thryft credits, Thryft will make the equivalent donation to the organisation corresponding to the credits used in the book order.
