Books for Charity

Books for Charity is a collection of books that are donated by like-minded organisations or individuals who share our vision for social sustainability. 50% of profits from the sales of donated books will be channeled to a social organisation.

If you would like to contribute to our Books for Charity collection, you can choose to donate your books instead of receiving Thryft credits here

Started in collaboration with Books and Beer as our first book donor, 50% of profits from the books listed in the collection are currently being donated to Methodist Welfare Services’ (MWS) Donate to Bless fund. The COVID-19 situation has impacted all of us in different ways. For low-income families, this might mean a loss of livelihoods as many cannot work remotely and end up losing their jobs. MWS aims to provide financial assistance to 1,000 low-income families for one year. These funds will support them in meeting their basic needs, and help them handle other direct impacts brought about by COVID-19 on their lives.

Books & Beer is Singapore’s most established travelling book swap, with an ice-cold twist! Co-founded by Melissa Low and Eileen Lee in 2011, Books & Beer is entirely non-profit, just conjured out of friendship and fun, a love for books and drinks, and to raise awareness about sharing and recycling.

Partners for Change

Partners for Change is Thryft's way of building sustainable ecosystems together with other organisations and to give back to society. We have partnered with non-profit organisations that do good, and list their books on our platform at no cost. You can find the books across the platform by noting the vendor of the books, or browse all the books from our partners here.

100% of the profits from these books will go directly to them. For purchases made using Thryft credits, Thryft will make the equivalent donation corresponding to the credits used in the book order.
